Solemnization
Solemnization also known as ‘akad nikah’ signified the beginning of our matrimony, a ceremony to hand the bride away. It was headed by a Wali (bride representative) and officiated by a Kadi (Islamic official) in the presence of two witnesses and families. With a lafaz, handshakes, and some tear-jerking moment, we were officially announced as Husband & Wife.
